Minecraft Performance Bench

The Minecraft Performance Bench is an online utility that records the performance of Minecraft servers globally to help estimate and compare performance to those using different hardware, internet infrastructure, and operating systems.

It does so by collecting information not only about the processors, number of cores, but also by server type (creative, pvp, economy), mod (bukkit, vanilla), and other oft-overlooked elements (e.g., SQL db, plugin count, etc).

By taking in all these into consideration as closely as possible and by using real math (t-tests, regression), we can finally get a better picture of what are the most significant contributors to high-performing servers.
